The loading ramp is designed to be used to move locos and rolling stock on and off permanent tracks and onto the Jubilee track sections. The ramp is made so that the wheels of the train can be rolled up the wedge shape and onto the box steel. The loading ramp then joins directly to standard Jubilee portable track sections. The loading ramp is designed to be used to move locos and rolling stock on and off permanent tracks and onto the Jubilee track sections. This listing is for a single track section, select the number of sections you require from the drop down menu, or contact us for large orders.

Track sections may come with joiners removed to keep down postage costs. To attach these you will simply need a 10mm spanner and 4mm allen key are needed to assemble the joiner to the rail. This is only required to be done on first installation the joiner may remain with the rail throughout use.

Safe Use

Miniature Locomotives and rolling stock can be very heavy and hence the safe use of this ramp is essential in reducing the likelihood of damage to the loco or user. The Ramp should only be used at very slow speeds 1mph or less. The ramp should never be used when a person is riding in or on the vehicle being moved. The ramp should be close to the ground to reduce risk.

A standard track section weighs 6.9kg and requires careful handling to avoid injury. As standard all MRW Jubilee track panels are widened by 2.3mm [ 3/32" ] this allows for curves to be joined to straights. This widening is within the 7 ¼ gauge society standards and should not adversely affect running.

Assembling and packing Jubilee Track to ensure it is level.

Monitoring your Jubilee Track

We are not aware that any MRW portable Jubilee Tack has suffered a significant amount of wear and tear, however with lots of use you need to constantly monitor the track, also look for signs of rust, with particular attention required after periods of prolonged use. Transportation & storage of portable track

Safe Use

We do not provide information about the tensile strength of these Ramps, they are cut from Mild Steel grade S275. It is your decision as the end user what is an appropriate load for the Ramp as many factors could come into play which may affect their strength. Support is the most important factor, all of the sleepers should be supported when using the ramp.
