"Making 7 1/4” gauge points and track from bar stock
When we needed some new points for our railway at High Legh I tried to find some instructions for point building. We needed rather more than we could afford to buy kits for, and in any case we use 25 x 10 steel bar stock rather than rail section. I couldn’t find anything, maybe because no-one has ever written it down before, so having now successfully built quite a few points this is how we went about it......"
