These handy “pocket sized” gauges are ideal to check wheelsets for conformity and help identify any rouge profiles or excessively worn flanges. These gauges have been developed by MRW in our Nottingham workshop to Ground Level 5" gauge mainline standards.


When operating a railway periodic safety checks are imperative to ensure that the stock is in a suitable condition for carriage. These gauges can be placed over the profiles to check they conform with the standard and also placed over the railheads to check they are within acceptable limits.

Cut from zintec or stainless steel the gauges are not prone to rust or wear quickly and being laser cut are accurate to +-0.1mm.
